Caries treatment: from first signs to a filling

Caries is the most common dental disease. The sooner you see a dentist, the simpler and cheaper the treatment will be.

First signs of caries

• a white or dark spot on the enamel;
• sensitivity to sweet and cold;
• food getting stuck between the teeth;
• bad breath;
• sometimes pain for no reason.

Stages of caries

• initial — a spot appears on the enamel, the enamel is still intact;
• superficial — the lesion touches the enamel, sensitivity appears;
• moderate — caries reaches the dentin, the cavity becomes visible;
• deep — the lesion comes close to the nerve, the pain becomes stronger.

How treatment is carried out

• anesthesia — treatment is painless;
• removal of the affected tissues;
• cleaning the cavity;
• placing a composite filling;
• grinding and polishing.

Which fillings are placed

We use modern composite materials that match the colour of the tooth. For initial caries, remineralization without drilling is possible.
